DPHS AFTERCARE & HOMEWORK CENTRE
The DPHS Aftercare Centre and Homework Centre offer caring, age-appropriate environments for boys from Grade R to Grade 7 after school hours. Whether your son is relaxing after a busy school day or using the time to focus on academics, he is supported by dedicated staff in a secure, structured space.
JUNIOR PRIMARY AFTERCARE
(Grades R–3)
Housed on the same property as our Grade R Unit, the Aftercare Centre caters to boys in Grades R to 3. At the end of each school day, boys are collected by DPHS Aftercare staff and escorted to the Centre, where they change into civvies and enjoy a mix of play, rest and support.
Aftercare Options:
Flexi-Time: 12h40 – 14h30
Full-Time: 12h40 – 17h00
Activities Include:
Outdoor Play: Astro field (soccer, cricket, volleyball), jungle gym, scooter track and sandpit.
Play: Puzzles, construction toys, creative arts, educational games
Homework Time: Full-care boys receive help with homework and revision before play resumes
SENIOR PRIMARY HOMEWORK CENTRE
(Grades 4–7)
For boys in Grade 4 to Grade 7, DPHS offers a structured Homework Centre as part of the school’s extended day. This service is ideal for learners who:
• Are not involved in afternoon sport or extra-murals
• Need a quiet, supportive space after their scheduled activities
What the Homework Centre Offers:
• A calm environment for completing daily homework and revision
• Staff oversight and guidance to help with time management and subject tasks
• Supervised access to computers for educational use, reading, or revision tasks
• Time to unwind in a respectful and purposeful setting
SAFE, SUPPORTIVE & SOCIAL
Whether in Aftercare or the Homework Centre, our aim is to ensure every boy ends his school day feeling cared for, productive and socially connected.
