OUR PREP PAL PROGRAMME

At DPHS, we believe that true leadership begins with kindness, connection, and responsibility. That’s why we created the Prep Pal Programme - a unique mentorship initiative that turns everyday school moments into lasting bonds and life lessons.

As part of our zero-tolerance approach to bullying, this programme is designed to create a strong culture of care and belonging among our boys.

BUILDING BONDS ACROSS GRADES

Each year, every Grade 7 learner is paired with a small group of younger boys — typically one boy from each grade below. The senior learner becomes a mentor and guardian, offering support, encouragement, and friendship to his “Prep Pals.” These inter-grade relationships help our senior boys step into leadership with empathy and maturity, while giving our younger boys a sense of security, connection, and community.

LEARNING THROUGH HUMAN CONNECTION

In a world where communication is increasingly digital, the Prep Pal Programme teaches the value of face-to-face conversation, mutual respect, and emotional intelligence. It gives our boys the opportunity to:
Look out for each other
Build trust across ages
Learn how to lead with heart
Celebrate a sense of brotherhood that runs deep through the school

This isn’t just a programme, it’s a Prep tradition that strengthens the social fabric of our school and ensures that no boy walks his journey alone.
