SPORT
At Durban Preparatory High School, sport is not just an extracurricular activity. It is a way of life, woven into the very fabric of our school culture. Every boy, from Grade R to Grade 7, is encouraged to participate, discover his passion, and find joy through movement, teamwork, and competition.
FOCUSED ON GROWTH
Whether your son is a natural athlete or simply eager to try something new, our sporting programme offers something for everyone. We don’t reserve opportunity for the elite. At DPHS, every boy is given a fair chance to wear the badge, represent the school, and grow through sport.
A FULL SPORTING CODE OFFERING
At DPHS, we offer both team and individual sports across seasons. With expert coaching and extensive facilities, we provide a platform for both skill development and personal character building.
COACHING & VALUES
DPHS believes that sport is one of the most powerful tools for teaching discipline, sportsmanship, resilience, and leadership. Our approach balances excellence with humility teaching boys how to win with grace and lose with dignity. Qualified coaches work alongside educators to ensure a healthy, values-driven environment where boys are encouraged to give their best, support each other, and grow through the challenges that sport presents.
